It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Aviation Safety & Sustainability Conference organized by Alsafwa Aviation Association. The conference will provide participants with an excellent opportunity to share and learn from each other's experiences, particularly in aviation safety.

The establishment of an international overarching framework SMS (Safety Management System) is pursued by ICAO, requiring contracting states, including Egypt, to establish their own SMSs. This in turn implies that the civil aviation industry in Egypt needs to adopt an approach which ensures that aviation safety processes in Egypt are properly synchronized and fully compliant with international safety requirements and standards. Such approach should secure the development of evaluation and benchmarking methods that would help putting the Egyptian aviation organizations on the sustainability track.

Along the same lines, aviation companies would be required to adopt a systematic approach to managing safety, through creation of necessary organizational structures, accountabilities, policies and procedures, so that they could identify safety risks and how to bring these risks to the minimum. An aviation company, whether airline or service provider, would definitely become more profitable if associated with systems that lead to higher sustainable safety levels within its practice.

The Aviation Safety & Sustainability conference looks forward to teaming up with colleagues from civil aviation authority, airlines, and international companies whose products and services contribute to the safety of air travel in order to share ideas and initiatives and conclude productive recommendations for safe, secure, sustainable and efficient air travel.
